Pedestrains and wheelchair users take care because previous crossing where taxi rank is now blocked off

To get back onto pavement to station entrance can only be accessed through cobbles onto curb cut for the cordoned bus waiting area. This is ironical because they filled up the potholes for a few days before it was all dug up again!

Not sure how the car park is accessed either.

National Express: Changes due to the Friargate development work

I find the descriptions below not very clear and we shall try to clarify later and determine the accessibility of the changes in the city centre where we can.

The Friargate development work will start on Sunday 23rd March 2014. There are a number of changes to the road network as a result of this, Warwick Road will be closed across the ring road by the station.

This will affect services 1, 8, 8A, 9, 9A, 11, 12 and 18A

The changes for each route are:

Services 1, 11 and 12:

Towards Earlsdon and Tile Hill North: As normal to Little Park Street, then the Ring Road to Warwick Road. Normal route from Warwick Road railway bridge.

Towards City Centre and Walsgrave Hospital:

To Warwick Road railway bridge then into Coventry Station forecourt via new access road, then Park Road to Quinton Road (new access and normal route from Little Park Street.

Services 8, 8A, 9 and 9A:

Towards City Centre, Walsgrave and Hospital: From Coventry Station forecourt via new access road, then Park Road to Quinton Road (new access), New Union Street, Bull Yard, Greyfriars Road, Queen Victoria Road and normal route from Corporation Street.
Towards Rail Station and Finham: As normal until Corporation Street, then via Queen Victoria Road,  Greyfriars Road, Bull Yard, New Union Street and Ring Road to Coventry Station forecourt. Services 9 & 9A will continue on their normal routes from here.

Services 8, 8A, 9, 9A will now serve bus stops on New Union Street

From Coventry Station services 8, 8A, 9, 9A, 11 and 12 will all provide links to Pool Meadow. The 8, 8A, 9 & 9A via Corporation Street and the 11 & 12 via Little Park Street and Cox Street.

Service 18A:

Towards City Centre: Normal route to Kenilworth Road then via Earlsdon Avenue South to City Arms in Earlsdon. Buses then run via Albany Road, Butts Road, Croft Road and normal route from Corporation Street to Pool Meadow.

Towards Canley and Tile Hill South: Normal route to Corporation Street and Croft Road. Buses then continue via Butts Road and Albany Road to City Arms, continuing via Earlsdon Avenue South to Kenilworth Road where they resume their normal route.

Please note that during the period of the works service 18A will not be able to serve Warwick Road.
